Before uninstalling the EQL Launches app, there are a few important steps you should take to avoid store issues and ensure a clean removal.
⚠️ What to do before uninstalling
To prevent broken product pages or lingering custom code, follow this checklist:

✅ Cancel or mark all active launches as complete
If a launch is still live and linked to a product when you uninstall the app, that product may not return to a normal “buy now” state and could remain unavailable for sale.

🧹 Delete all data from the app
Go to Settings → Delete all data in the EQL Launches app. This will permanently remove all launches and invite lists in the app.
⚠️ Skip this step if you intend to run more launches with the EQL app in the future and wish to retain your launch data and history. Your access to this data will be restored when you reinstall the app.

🧾 Remove unused templates from your theme code
Go to Online Store → Edit Code and delete any templates created by EQL Launches (e.g.
product.eql-draw.json,metaobject/app--212954316801--offerpage.json) if they’re no longer in use.
🗄️ Data Retention Policy
At EQL, we prioritize the security and privacy of your data. Here's how we manage data retention:
- Order and Customer Data: Orders created through EQL Launches remain in your Shopify Admin. Customer and order tags applied by EQL will continue to exist in your store's data.
- Launch Data: All launch-related data, including customer entries and analytics, are stored securely on EQL's servers.
- Data Deletion: If you choose to delete your data via the EQL Launches app settings before uninstalling, all associated data and customizations will be permanently removed.
- Reinstallation: Reinstalling the app will restore access to your previous launch history and settings, provided the data wasn't deleted prior to uninstallation.
